On August 29th, the 2008 harvest for Crushpad began at 3AM in Grassini vineyard in the Santa Ynez Valley. Sauvignon Blanc is typically the first grape we pick each year, and with a little heat spell moving through California this past week, the early ripening grapes are getting the final push to the finish line. All the waiting and wondering is over, and with dry conditions prevailing, harvest season is looking great.
