First "public" tasting

Mark and I shared our bottle that Kian sent to us with a few friends from work last night and it was a big success. Overall we were very pleased with the progress the wine has taken on in the short 5 months since its been in the vessel. Some of the comments we heard were:

-this wine is excellent and I can only imagine it will taste even better with some additional aging
-I notice a hint of vanilla
-great fruit, excellent nose and nice structure
-Thanks for sharing your wine with us yesterday. If it’s this good now, I can only imagine how good it’s going to get.

My notes are wonderful nose (great oak aromas), excellent color, nice tannins, great structure, solid fruit, smoky hint (black pepper?)
