This is my first time making a barrel here. I noticed that this year's syrah harvest window appears to be Sept. 20th thru 30th, which is about one month earlier than last years harvest date. I also noticed that this year's brix numbers (currently 23.3) are behind last year. This has me a bit concerned, since I'm targeting a 14.5% alcohol wine. Do any of the other White Hawk people have any comments on this subject?
