Packaging
From Enowiki, the free online winemaking encyclopedia.
Most finished wines are packaged into bottles for sale by the winery. Different bottle sizes and shapes are available. Aesthetic decisions regarding the style of bottle used and the design of the labels must be made when bottling. Also the type of closure used to seal the bottle must be chosen. This can affect wine flavor and how well a wine ages in the bottle. Alternatives such as bag-in-box casks and even cans are becoming more common.
