The valley cuts through the coastal mountain range and as a result cool ocean breezes cause large swings between daytime and nighttime temperatures. Anderson Valley is known for its Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Gewürztraminer. This region is also home to several top sparkling wine producers.Hein Vineyard, Aikins Vineyard, and Broken Leg Vineyard are located in the Anderson Valley.
