Actually, the summer of 2oo8 begins well before ....

The annual cycle for us begins in May and continues through  our great summer with family and friends in Colorado.  October  brings the snow and our eventual escape back to our warm weather hideaway for the winter...... 

Our reunion 'Back Home' for the Holidays that we all enjoy so much, is a welcome chance to reunite with all of our loved ones. This has little to do with wine, except that we all have a chance to enjoy our marvalous Crushpad wine choices from the previous year or two.

After the Holidays and winter activities we find that in Junuary our thoughts turn to 'WHAT'S NEXT'...... The alarms go off in our heads and awaken us to what lies ahead...the planning.....and the Wine.

Planning is one of the most enjoyable aspects of the human behavior. We get to dream for a while, scheme of the possible and then reflect on those dreams with reality and actual possibilities. It will be great fun to entertain in the new summer season........

This summer (2008) at Rancho Ricardo, we will entertain family, neighbors and friends with our 'Second Annual Festival' of the WINE......This year we will be sampling the 2006 Morris Ranch Pinot Noir, along with great food, fun, and games....... included are a few new features that have been added to the 'Formal Garden' during the summer, we hope that our members, friends and family can join us.

Last summer, we installed a web-cam to view the progress at The Ranch. Although not much happens through the winter months, we managed to do a great deal of earth moving last summer. Sculpting the earth to accept a few of the 'garden features' and allowing this summers (2008) features to move into reality.

To access the Rancho Ricardo Formal Garden via web-cam, log on to 'ranchoricardo.net' and then use 'ranch' and 'ranch' to sign in....Not much to see at this time, but with the 'Festival' this summer you will have a lot more to look at by June. The actual date of this summer's festival will be revieled by June 15th, 2008.....check-in with us to see the progress throughout the summer...

A visit to The Ranch in Colorado in the summer is like a  breath of fresh pure air. If you can manage a trip at the end of July, we are only an hour from the Denver airport. Details on the actual Festival date will be 'Blogged' on this site by June 15th, 2008......
