My involvement with Wines dates back to the early 1970's when I was developing my appreciation for world class wines. It wasn't long after that experience that I met a gentleman that had a vineyard which contained Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. He had a reputation of being an outstanding viticulturist. With that knowledge, I decided to begin making my own wine. With a library full of good books on the subject of winemaking, I began making wine. Did I make some mistakes, Absolutely, but I also made outstanding wine as well. By taking judicious notes of each vintage, I have perfected the art of winemaking to the point that I have consistently good wine that is every bit as good as any commercial wine available.
Knowledge of the various clones of each varietal and their characteristics and the soil that they are grown in has helped me make better wine. This is also a benefit of being involved with Crushpad. They have some of the finest sources available as well as some of the finest winemakers who are genuine and always available should problems arise in the winemaking process.
