Another solid showing for the label which is are thinking will be called Timark Cellars. Overall comments were very solid. The wine had solid fruit notes and great structure. The oak is really showing nicely and well integrated at this point. Excellent recommendations once again from our winemaker Kian. Folks were very pleased and Mark and I were VERY happy.

July 15, 2009 5pm

We had great participation as we invited several people from work to sample the wine. Overall comments were very favorable. The wine had solid fruit notes and great structure. I picked up hazelnut from the new barrel. Overall its showing great promise to be an awesome vintage.

Mark and I shared our bottle that Kian sent to us with a few friends from work last night and it was a big success. Overall we were very pleased with the progress the wine has taken on in the short 5 months since its been in the vessel. Some of the comments we heard were:

-this wine is excellent and I can only imagine it will taste even better with some additional aging
-I notice a hint of vanilla
-great fruit, excellent nose and nice structure
-Thanks for sharing your wine with us yesterday. If it’s this good now, I can only imagine how good it’s going to get.

Mark and I tasted our wine today with Tim, Edwin and my wife Lena. This was the first time to taste our wine since it entered the vessel in early October 2008. Here are some of my notes:

*excellent color (nice purple hue)
*good structure and nice tannins
*wonderful oak notes in the nose
*smooth finish
*soft on the palate

New French Oak (Alain Fouquet) was a great choice! Everything is progressing very nice. Kian mentioned we might want to bottle early (wait and see) and we might want to consider blending with Merlot and Cab Franc.
